AACSB-Accredited Graduate Business Programs at Georgia College and State University

The J. Whitney Bunting College of Business at Georgia College and State University offers master's programs that provide business expertise, facilitate career advancement, and increase job security and earning power.

Its programs have accreditation from AACSB International, the leading accrediting body for business programs. Less than 5% of the world's business programs receive accreditation from this influential organization.

To meet the diverse needs of students at every career stage, programs are offered online, during the evenings, and in multiple locations.

Full-time Master of Business Administration

The full-time Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree program allows non-business majors to earn high quality M.B.A. degrees in 15 months. It emphasizes entrepreneurship, global awareness, social responsibility, and real-word experience.

Courses in its 39-credit curriculum are offered in sequence, so students in a cohort take the same courses. The curriculum covers core business operations and managerial functions and includes an international business experience, a practicum, and co-curricula workshops.

In addition, each course covers relevant sections of an effective business plan, thus allowing students to prepare comprehensive, individualized business plans.

Master of Accountancy

The Master of Accountancy (M.Acc.) degree program at Georgia College and State University can be completed in 1 year of full-time study and 2 years of part-time study. Classes are offered 1 evening per week to accommodate the needs of working professionals.

The program's curriculum consists of 21 hours of accounting core courses and 9 hours of elective courses. It also includes 36 hours of foundation courses that can be waived if undergraduate equivalents meet program requirements.

Students graduate with the education and skills needed to advance their careers in the competitive business environment and acquire CPA licensure in the state of Georgia.

Master of Management Information Systems

The Master of Management Information Systems (M.M.I.S.) degree program trains students to design, execute, and manage corporate information resources or serve as liaisons between functional areas and centralized IT offices.

The M.M.I.S. degree program curriculum consists of 30 semester hours of business core, information systems core, and information systems elective courses. It also includes 9 semester hours of foundation courses (which can be waived) in accounting, statistics, and economics or finance.

Courses are offered in a hybrid format that includes face-to-face classes and online sessions.

Master of Logistics and Supply Chain Management

The Master of Logistics and Supply Chain Management program provides in-depth knowledge about logistics and supply chain management.

The program's curriculum includes 30 semester hours of core courses, logistics management or supply chain management courses, and other business-related courses.

Students acquire business skills and decision-making abilities as well as a thorough understanding of the latest technological applications.

Financial Aid for Graduate Students

College of Business Faculty Members

Faculty members in the College of Business nurture students' growth as leaders and scholars. They also engage in research that advances business education and practice.

For example, Professor Ken Barr has published numerous articles about industrial organization and economic growth. Professor Bryan Marshall researches online social networking, virtualization, and study abroad. His work has been published in a number of journals including the "Journal of Business Communication," "Journal of Computer Information Systems," and "Journal of Diversity Management."

The Georgia College Community

Georgia College's main campus is located in Milledgeville, Georgia, in the southern region of the United States. This charming campus consists of columned buildings, lush lawns, and tree-lined streets.

It also includes comprehensive resources such as academic advising, an expansive research library, learning and writing centers, NCAA Division II athletics, and cultural events. "Distinctive resources" include the Old Governor's Mansion, Museum of Natural History, GC Museum, and Campus Theatre.

Additional Locations

Georgia College also has campuses in Macon, Georgia and on the Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia. The Macon Center for Graduate and Professional Learning, which is situated in the heart of downtown Macon, offers graduate and professional programs that serve the Middle Georgia region. The campus at Robins Air Force Base offers graduate programs in business as well as arts and sciences.
