DO YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS?
LSAT FAQs
- The Law School Admission Test (LSAT) is a standardized test required for admission into law schools approved by the American Bar Association. The LSAT test uses three types of questions to measure your skills in critical reading, verbal reasoning, and analytical thinking.
- Some examples of LSAT practice questions are: Logical Reasoning When pregnant lab rats are given caffeine equivalent to the amount a human would consume by drinking six cups of coffee per day, an increase in the incidence of birth defects results. When asked if the government would require warning labels on products containing caffeine, a spokesperson stated that it would not because the government would lose credibility if the findings of these studies were to be refuted in the future. Which of the following is most strongly suggested by the government’s statement above? (A) A warning that applies to a small population is inappropriate. (B) Very few people drink as many as six cups of coffee daily. (C) There are doubts about the conclusive nature of animal studies. (D) Studies on rats provide little data about human birth defects. (E) The seriousness of birth defects involving caffeine is not clear. Analytical Reasoning Buses 1, 2, and 3 make one trip each day, and they are the only ones that riders A, B, C, D, E, F, and G take to work. Neither E nor G takes bus 1 on a day when B does. G does not take bus 2 on a day when D does. When A and F take the same bus, it is always bus 3. C always takes bus 3. Traveling together to work, B, C, and G could take which of the same buses on a given day? (A) 1 only (B) 2 only (C) 3 only (D) 2 and 3 only (E) 1, 2, and 3
- LSAT preparation can help improve scores in all areas of the test. Be aware, though, that doing your own LSAT review before the test requires a slightly different approach than that used for many other standardized tests. Your LSAT prep needs to focus on honing your reasoning and reading skills over reinforcing your knowledge of facts. If you decide to put time into LSAT test preparation, concentrate on developing your skills in critical reading, verbal reasoning, and analytical thinking. And, because of the uniqueness of the Logic Games you will confront in the test, many people argue that sharpening your analytical reasoning skills is your highest priority during your LSAT prep.
- One of the best things you can do to practice for the LSAT is to take the LSAT practice tests. Taking LSAT practice tests will prepare you for what will be asked on the test, making you more comfortable going into test day.
- Yes! Taking an online LSAT practice test is encouraged. Peterson’s gives you access to 2 full-length practice tests that will prepare you for the LSAT test.
- Starting in August 2023, those taking the LSAT can take the LSAT exam at home in an online, live, remotely proctored format or in-person at a digital learning center.
