Focus of faculty research: Beaver survey in the upper Verde River, agroecosystems, study of Craveri's murrelet (threatened seabird in the Gulf of California), assessment of beetle kill impact on Pinyon-Juniper Woodlands, post-fire vegetation study in Mesa Verde National Park, landscape condition analysis in Dinosaur National Park, the risk of nitrogen deposition to natural resources in the four corners region of Colorado and Utah for the USGS, spatial mapping of UV radiation in forests and natural environments
