Entrance Exam GRE verbal score of 150 or greater required. Comp Exam Required Thesis Required for some All candidates must pass a comprehensive exam.Total of 36 hours with 18-21 hours of 600-level coursework depending, on concentration. Graduate students concentrating in Creative Writing are required to write a thesis. M.A. English in Language & Literacy or Professional Writing concentration can choose between Thesis and no-Thesis options.
