Focus of faculty research: Functional limitations and rehabilitation for individuals with osteoporosis, multiple sclerosis, juvenile arthritis and aging; neuroscience concepts as they relate to rehabilitation in stroke and cerebral palsy; neural mechanisms associated with development, aging and neuromuscular disorders; sleep apnea and episodic hypoxia as it relates to muscles in the upper airway and cardiovascular system, neurobiological changes in ventilator control
