Mathematics: algebra and number theory, harmonic and complex analysis, approximation theory, theory of orthogonal polynomials, Banach space theory and operator theory, differential equations and nonlinear analysis, discrete mathematics, geometry and topology; statistics: linear and nonlinear statistical models for health sciences, operations research problems, economic systems; stochastic control problems; dynamic reliability analysis and control
