Dr. J. A. Campbell Young Investigator Award

Description

The Dr. J. A. Campbell Young Investigator Award is offered by the Celiac Canada (CCA) for work done in Canada (or by an investigator from Canada temporarily working elsewhere and committed to return to Canada) of a scientific, applied science, medical, and/ or social nature relevant to celiac disease (gluten-induced enteropathy), dermatitis herpetiformis or other gluten related disorders. CCA has an interest in research that addresses under-investigated populations (including indigenous, impoverished, newcomer, racialized and vulnerable communities) and celiac disease; however, applications are not limited to this subject area. Applicants must be a trainee in a recognized medical or health sciences school, university undergraduate, or graduate training program. Applicants must submit a statement and their current CV. The mentor/supervisors must submit their assessment of the applicant; a statement of commitment to facilitating the project; and a statement regarding how the work will enhance the applicant's training. The applicant or mentor/supervisor must submit the project goals, rationale, and paragraph summary of research suitable for the public; the description of the research including aims, methods, and statement about how the research will advance knowledge; and itemized budget for salary, materials, supplies and services.
