Edward Payson and Bernice Piilani Irwin Scholarship

Description

The Edward Payson and Bernice Piilani Irwin Scholarship is named in honor of Bernice Pi'ilani Irwin who was a friend of Queen Lili'u'okalani and was created to provide assistance to students who, like Bernice, wish to have careers in journalism. The donor requires the applicants to be undergraduate or graduate students attending an accredited college or university within the United States. Preference will be given to students intending to major in journalism or communications. Preference will also be given to undergraduate junior, senior and graduate students.
