DO YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS?

NCLEX-RN FAQs

  • The NCLEX RN exam determines your ability to practice nursing. NCLEX-RN stands for National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses, which tests and measures your knowledge of essential skills and the competence required to enter nursing safely.
  • The NCLEX RN exam will test your knowledge of medical procedures and assessment to care for patients safely and best. On the exam, you’ll be given between 74-145 questions. 15 questions are practice questions that will not count towards your final score. The questions on the test are computer-adaptive tests, which means the computer determines your level of knowledge and competence based on how you answered previous questions. If you perform well throughout the exam, you’ll be asked fewer questions throughout the test. Most of the questions are multiple-choice questions. Questions on the exam will cover four key categories: Safe & Effective Care Environment, Health Promotion and Maintenance, Psychosocial Integrity, and Physiological Integrity.
  • Since the NCLEX RN exam determines your capabilities of providing safe and effective patient care, it is designed to be quite challenging. However, many NCLEX-RN exam students pass with proper prep and study time.

    • “The position helps identify your thoracic vertebrae.”
    • “ The position provides the best exposure to your back.”
    • The position flattens the posterior surface of your lungs.”
    1. A client who is at 37 weeks’ gestation is to have a nonstress test (NST) in 1 week. Which statement would be correct for the nurse to make?
    • “Do not eat for 4 hours before the test.”
